The Allman Spry Family: Retired Bankruptcy Attorney R. Bradford (“Brad”) Leggett
Business and bankruptcy law attorney Brad Leggett (Retired) joined the Allman Spry Law Firm in 1971 after serving a two-year clerkship with a United States District Judge. His practice concentrated on business and commercial areas, with a primary emphasis on debtor/creditor law, financial workouts and restructuring, and business reorganizations. He was a former Chairman of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and was listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1989. He was one of only 10 practicing attorneys in the state of North Carolina listed as a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.
Before retiring from the firm, Brad Leggett was awarded the prestigious AV® Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5 rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and selected by Business North Carolina magazine as one of the state’s “Legal Elite.” He was listed in North Carolina Super Lawyers and Who’s Who Legal: USA Insolvency & Restructuring.
Brad’s approach was to advise clients on how to achieve their goals. He had a broad range of experience representing business organizations and individuals, both debtors and creditors, in a wide variety of business enterprises including textiles, trucking, furniture, discount retailing, construction, cable television and radio, resort properties, real estate development, and commercial leasing.
