Art served as former in-house counsel for Sara Lee Corporation and has successfully prosecuted more than 3,000 trademark applications in various industries such as software, electronics, health care, marketing, consumer packaged goods, apparel/textile, retail, food & beverage, and higher education.

As a recognized North Carolina Super Lawyer in Intellectual Property, Art guides his clients through the process of bringing products to market, intellectual property policies and procedures, and confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements with employees, vendors, and third-party contractors.

Arthur J. Debaugh received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1988. He serves on the boards of the Winston-Salem Symphony and 88.5 WFDD Public Radio, and is past president of the Augsburg Lutheran Church in Winston-Salem.
