Will joined the firm in February of 2025 after working for nine years as a criminal defense attorney in the District of Columbia. Will practices in the firm’s Civil Litigation group and also provides criminal defense representation.
Before joining Allman Spry, Will worked as a Supervising Attorney at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. In this role, he represented hundreds of clients charged with serious felonies in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and in front of the United States Parole Commission, and was able to obtain numerous not guilty jury verdicts and negotiated countless favorable plea agreements for his clients. Will was also a member of the Public Defender Service’s Forensic Practice Group and has experience litigating cases which include DNA, fingerprints, firearms and tool marks, and digital forensic evidence.
Will graduated with Honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law where he served as Staff Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and was a member of the Civil Rights team for the Holderness Moot Court. Prior to law school, Will earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, at Guilford College. Will worked as a teacher’s assistant for the Community and Justice Studies department and received an award for having the highest GPA in that department.
Outside of his work, Will enjoys playing golf, riding his bike, reading, cooking, and collecting records.
